That’s A Good Idea has continued to firm into outright $4 favouritism in 2016 WJ Healy Stakes betting markets with leading online bookie Ladbrokes.com.au, ahead of Mogador ($4.40) and Odyssey Moon ($5).

Will That’s A Good Idea justify favouritism and win the 2015 WJ Healy Stakes or will one of his talented rivals post an upset?

Mogador ($4.40)

Godolphin runner Mogador will leave from the rails draw in the 2016 WJ Healy Stakes and should prove very hard to beat with only 54kgs in tow. Claiming two wins and three minors through only ten career starts so far, the Lonhro colt produced a number of standout results through the 2015 spring; highlighted by a close second in the Listed Blue Sapphire Stakes (1200m) and fifth in the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes (1200m). Having placed fifth in the TAB.com.au BM85 (1100m) first-up on April 23rd, Mogador has since finished fourth in the Isuzu Ute Scone BM77 (1100m) and second in the Listed Queensland Day Stakes (1200m).

Tina Melina ($8.50)

Tina Melina has interestingly drifted to a quote of $8.50 in 2016 WJ Healy Stakes betting markets, but only has to carry 54kgs and could very well receive the run of the race from the ideal barrier 5. A standout for leading Queensland trainer Tony Gollan through the Brisbane summer, Tina Melina ran third in the Magic Millions Fillies & Mares Classic (1300m) before posting a maiden black type win in the Listed Nudgee Handicap (1200m) on January 23rd. Clearly requiring a run when ninth in the Listed Silk Stocking (1200m) first-up on May 7th, the Jet Spur mare ran on for fourth in the Listed Bright Shadow Quality (1200m) and is sure to have taken plenty of benefit leading into the WJ Healy Stakes.

Odyssey Moon ($5)

Odyssey Moon has posted two wins and a further seven minors through sixteen career starts so far, and carries winning form into the WJ Healy Stakes. Placing fourth in the Group 3 Zeditave Stakes (1200m) first-up on February 27th, the Snitzel colt placed third in the Listed Bendigo Guineas (1400m) and second in the Group 3 Carbine Club Stakes (1600m). Having since finished third in the Listed Straight Six (1200m) and won the Ladbrokes Cash In Handicap (1300m), Odyssey Moon should relish the conditions at Eagle Farm on Saturday.
