Breaking through to win the 2013 edition of the W.J. Healy Stakes, Howmuchdoyouloveme has been confirmed for this weekend’s Group 3.

Claiming a total of seven wins and three places from just 19 race starts to date, Howmuchdoyouloveme has returned to racing in typically competitive form this season; unlucky to finish second in the Listed Canterbury Classic (1100m) first-up, and while unlucky to be blocked for a run in the Group 2 Expressway Stakes (1200m), returned to contention when charging from the rear of the field to finish fifth in the Group 2 Apollo Stakes (1400m) on February 22nd.

Finishing mid-pack in the Listed Lightning Handicap (1000m) at Eagle Farm last time out, trainer Con Karakatsanis is confident leading jockey Nash Rawiller will get the best from his sole W.J. Healy Stakes entrant from the ideal barrier 3.

Confirmed to be partnered by in-form hoop Tommy Berry, talented mare Bennetta is arguably in ideal position to return to the winner’s circle this weekend from the slightly wider barrier 8.

Known for performing well when finding position on the heels of early leaders, Bennetta has returned to racing in great form this season, finishing third amongst classy company in the Group 3 Sebring Stakes (1200m) first-up, and while unlucky to be blocked for a run in the Group 1 All Aged Stakes (1400m) on April 26th, but appeared to have benefitted from the raise in class when third in the Group 2 QTC Cup (1300m) last time out.

Aiming for a third consecutive race win when lining up for the W.J. Healy Stakes, Cape Kidnappers arguably leads the charge of the locals in this weekend’s Group 3 and is offered a great chance of continued success from the central barrier 6.

Claiming a total of nine wins and three minor places from just 13 competitive race starts to date, Cape Kidnappers will face his biggest test to date in the W.J. Healy Stakes, but will be boosted by regular jockey Damien Browne, who has been confirmed to retain the ride.

Returning to racing in typically good form this season, the Commands gelding finished seventh in the Listed Bribie Handicap (1110m) first-up, and has since been unstoppable in comfortable winning both the Listed Chief De Beers Quality (1110m) and Lightning Handicap most recently.

A proven performer against the majority of this weekend’s W.J. Healy final field, trainer Kelly Schweida is confident of another polished performance from Cape Kidnappers this weekend.

Securing six race wins and a further 11 places from 45 competitive starts, Metallurgical arguably lines up as one of the most experienced runners confirmed for the 2014 W.J. Healy Stakes and is more than a chance from the ideal barrier 4.

Contesting precisely the same path as Cape Kidnappers towards the W.J. Healy, Metallurgical finished second in the Bribie Handicap before securing back-to-back fourth places in the Chief De Beers and Lightning Handicap.

Confirmed to be partnered by Ric McMahon, trainer John Thompson is confident the Redoute’s Choice gelding will line up in peak condition this weekend.
